Silk Ties & Grenadine Silk Ties

Tie Length

The majority of our neckties (excluding smart casual ties which include: skinny silk, silk knit, floral cotton, woolen & polyester ties) come in one of two lengths:

Regular Length: 58 inches (147 cm)  - recommended for men up to 6'1 in height (1.85 meters)

Extra Long Length: 63 inches (160 cm) - recommended for men 6'1 and over in height (1.85 meters).

If you are between 5'10 and 6'1 and enjoy regularly wearing a Double (Full) Windsor Knot, we would suggest going with our Extra Long Length Ties. This holds especially true if you are broader shouldered! 

Tie Width

The majority (excluding skinny silk, silk knit, floral cotton, woolen & polyester ties) of our silk ties are 3 1/4 inches in width (8.3 cm), which is in the midpoint of where regular width ties stand in today's marketplace at between 3 to 3.5 inches (7.6 cm to 8.9 cm).

Smart Casual Ties

Skinny  Silk Ties: Length: 58 inches (147 cm): Width: 2 5/8 inches

Silk Knit Ties: Length: 58 inches (147 cm) Width: 2.5 inches

Floral Cotton Ties: Length: 57 inches (145 cm)  Width: 2 3/8 inches

Woolen Ties: Length: 57 inches (145 cm) Width: 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) 

As you can see, our smart casual ties are approximately the same length as our silk ties- but they tend to be narrower in width, given that they carry a more casual connotation!

Pocket Squares

Silk Pocket Squares: 17 inches x 17 inches

Linen Pocket Squares: 15 inches x 15 inches

Our Silk Pocket Squares are designed to be larger than what is typically offered in the market place, - is because most pocket squares do not stay protruding out of your pocket for too long! They are simply too small, with many pocket squares in the 12 x 12 or 13 x 13 inch range! The Dark Knot's Silk Pocket Squares, due to their larger sizing, will stay in position even after staying active and /or dancing the night away!

Conversely, Linen Pocket Squares do not have to be as large, given that they are typically worn with pointed folds such as a two, three or four point fold, taking advantage of the fabric's sturdiness & rigidity. Hence, these folds don't result in the pocket square being bunched up, resulting in less 'shrinkage' when the pocket square is worn. The Dark Knot's Linen Pocket Squares are therefore constructed with dimensions that are slightly smaller than their silk counterparts, at 15 x 15 inches.

Bracelets

Leather Bracelets: 8.3 inches (22 cm)

Beaded Bracelets: 7.0 - 7.5 inches (18-19 cm)

While on a surface level, our beaded bracelets appear to be narrower / smaller in size than our leather bracelets, they are stretchable, making their length somewhat irrelevant. 

Beaded Bracelets Diameter: While this is not related to fit - it is related to aesthetic and how your beaded bracelets look on you! At The Dark Knot, our beaded bracelets are 8mm in diameter, making them your hybrid / go to choice for both casual & formal wear. Smaller beaded bracelets (6 mm) are typically worn in more formal settings, while larger beaded bracelets (10-12 mm) are usually worn in more casual settings! 

Tie Bars

Our Tie Bars are presented in a range of lengths, as tie bars are typically expected to cover 2/3 of the width of your tie. 

As a result, we have shorter tie bars that are 1.5 inches (4 cm) and longer tie bars that are 2.4 inches (6 cm), to complement skinny & regular width ties respectively. 

Colorful Socks

Our Colorful Socks are presented in one size fits all, standing at 7.5 - 12 U.S / 40 / 47 EU

Our Colorful Socks are mid calf socks featuring hand linked toe stitching, a firmer heel & stretchable welt. Ideal for year round wear. 

Lapel Flowers

The Dark Knot's Lapel Flowers come in a range of sizes, from 1.4 inches (3.5 cm) in diameter to 1.8 inches (4.5 cm) in diameter.

As a general rule of thumb, it is best to keep your lapel flower in proportion to the width of your jacket lapels. 

Men's Scarves

The Dark Knot's Men's Scarves are produced with adequate length (62 inches / 160 cm) to ensure that one can tie a wide array of scarf knots. 

Belts

The Dark Knot's microadjustable belts provide a unique, hole-less belt experience, allowing you to make microadjustments! As such, we offer our belts in one size, where the excess belt fabric can be cut off once you've measured the adequate size of your belt (explained with our belt instruction card)!

Our Microadjustable Belts have a length of 130 cm (51.2 inches).

The width of our belts are 1 3/8 inches (3.5 cm), making them the perfect hybrid belt that can be worn in both formal and casual settings!

Collar Stays

Our research shows that collar stays are generally in the 2.5 inch to 2.75 inch range, depending on the length of your collar stays. As a result, The Dark Knot's Collar Stays offering comes in either:

• 3 pairs x 2.5 inches and 3 pairs x 2.75 inches
• 6 pairs x 2.5 inches
• 6 pairs x 2.75 inches
